Emeritus Members Honoured at Tea

On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 64 Emeritus Members of the Junior League of Calgary were honoured for their contributions to the League and to the Calgary Community. These members have maintained their relationship and membership with the Junior League of Calgary, for as many as 68 years, and almost all for at least 46 years. The support of these members reflects their belief in the League and the impact it continues to make in the community.

Each Emeritus Member was asked to share her JLC story. The stories were woven into a booklet that celebrates each member as well as the programs that they undertook to find ways to fill unmet needs in Calgary and to collaborate with community agencies to improve the health, education and social situations for Calgarians. Memories of friendships made and of their volunteer efforts underscore how successful the Junior League of Calgary has been in achieving its mission.

Celebrating our Emeritus Members Volunteers for Life is available at the JLC office and electronically. A copy of the booklet will download to your device if electronically is chosen.
