03 Feb In Remembrance – Mary Jane Collie
The Junior League of Calgary remembers Mary Jane Collie, an Emeritus Sustaining Member. Jane died on January 21, 2022. Jane joined the JLC in June 1963 and remained a member until her death. When interviewed for the Emeritus Tea, she remembered the great press the Junior League received in the early days and that the League offered the very first Children’s Theatre in Calgary. She shared her acting talent playing both the wicked and the good witch in the Children’s Theatre production of the “Wizard of Oz” as her 1964 and 1965 placement. Jane said that working with children with autism proved to be one of her most fulfilling JLC experiences.
