Junior League of Calgary Events – April 2024

Junior League of Calgary Events – April 2024

Upcoming Events – signup using the volunteer calendar!

We are thrilled to highlight the incredible opportunities we have for our members in our community:

Here is what we are doing in the month of April:

  • Calgary Reads Book Drive: Taking place Saturday April 6th 2024.  JLC Members will greet customers and sort books.  Sign up here to volunteer, and perhaps pick up a few books for yourself.
  • Explore our Community:  Have you always wanted to take a tour of National Music Centre’s Studio Bell?  On Tuesday April 9th 2024 join our JLC Sustainers Building Community for a morning at the National Music Centre’s Studio Bell, followed by lunch at the King Eddy. More details and how to sign up can be found in the latest version of The Lariat.
  • JLC General Meeting: On Monday April 22 2024 join us to hear from Holly Singer, founder of the popular Calgary company, Milk Jar. Holly created Milk Jar in November 2016 in hopes of bringing ‘clean-burning, beautifully smelling candles to the market and to be a vehicle for giving back.’ Milk Jar is known for their yearly donations to non-profits supporting initiatives toward inclusion and safe workplaces; to date, they’ve raised over $300,00.00.
