10 Jan Teen Tote Project Recognized in JLC’s Continued Record of Community Service
In a November 29, 2013 article in the Calgary Herald, the Junior League of Calgary was recognized for its service to the Calgary Community. The article, by Mario Toneguzzi, highlighted the Teen Tote project. This project, delivered by the Fall Provisional Class of the Junior League of Calgary, will provide 400 backpacks filled with transit tickets, gift cards, certificates for eye exams, personal hygiene items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lip balm, nail clippers, gloves, toques, scarves, socks, water bottles, coffee travel mugs, Hitmen tickets, movie passes, notebooks and pens, and playing cards. The Teen Tote project is part of the JLC’s organizational impact on our community.
